| Student organizations provide opportunities for growth and
development as leaders for college students. As an advisor you
can help facilitate this leadership training that is essential
to the success of the organization. Your guidance and direction
can help the officers lead the members of the organization in a
productive manner. There are different leadership styles and
most likely the students you work with will each have a unique
style. It is important to learn these styles and how to create a
collaborative working environment for all the officers. You are
not solely responsible for leading the organization. However,
your leadership can rub off on others and they may look to you
for advice and example.
