REGISTRATION OF
STUDENT MOTOR VEHICLES
All vehicles parked in University parking lots (including
visitors) are required to obtain and properly display a parking permit.
Permits may be obtained at the Cashier's Window and must be displayed
within 48 hours of the time of initial enrollment or at the time when
the motor vehicle is first brought to campus. Visitors may register
their vehicles by stopping by Parking Services at the Department of
Public Safety.
Students who own, maintain, or operate vehicles on the University campus are responsible for reading and complying with the specific regulations as published and made available by the Department of Public Safety. Truman reserves the right to require any student, faculty member, or staff member to make immediate and full payment for any and all overdue parking tickets. Permits will not be issued to individuals with outstanding parking fines until the fines are paid in full.

Appeals
Questions regarding the issuance of University parking tickets may be
referred to Public Safety, Parking Services, phone 785-7400.
If a student, faculty, or staff member feels that a traffic ticket may have been unjustly issued, he or she has the right to appeal, but should file an appeal within 14 days from the date of the ticket. He or she must then make the appeal on the appropriate form which may be obtained in the Parking Services Office or on line at http://police.truman.edu.
