Campus Wide Programming

  • First-Year Activity Coordinating Team (FACT)

    • Are you a new student who wants to know all the FACTs about Truman? Well, you are in luck because our FACT leaders will help discover some of the fun Truman has to offer. This team helps organize fun activities held during Truman week such as the opening ice cream social, murder mystery night, trivia, karaoke and the popular friend finder.

     

  • Dawg Fest

    • We cannot think of a better way to say good bye to the “dawg” days of summer than this opening fun fest celebration. Dawg Fest is the essential campus wide celebration of the new school year featuring games, contests, giveaways, local business vendors and music. This significant campus collaboration is always a highlight to the start of the new school year.

     

  • Activities Fair

    • At the beginning of each academic year, CSI, with the assistance from Cardinal Key and Blue Key National Honor Societies and Truman Athletics, sponsors the annual Activities Fair. This is a time for new and returning students to gather on campus and explore the over 200 student organizations at Truman. A variety of booths are set up to display participating organizations' special interests and activities.

     

  • Homecoming

    • As one of the traditions of fall, the CSI and the Office of Advancement co-sponsor a week long Homecoming celebration. A committee of approximately 15 selected students, with the assistance of 3 advisors, coordinates and plans a wide range of activities for the campus and local community to participate in. Events range from a campus kick off celebration, royalty coronation, a community parade (coordinated by Blue Key), Saturday evening entertainment and various contests.

     

    The Office of Advancement sponsors many of the Homecoming events targeted for alumni such as the annual golf tournament, the 5K run, and reunion class luncheons. For more information regarding Homecoming, please visit the official Homecoming, Athletics or Alumni/Advancement websites.

     

  • Seasonal Activities/Collaborations

    • Each year the CSI collaborates with various campus offices, departments, and student organizations. Examples of such events include: indoor ice skating, concerts, seasonal celebrations, etc. To see some of these events, check out our Photo Gallery.
