Welcome
Dear Students, Parents and Guests,
Greetings from the Center for Student Involvement (CSI)!
It is a pleasure to have you visit our site in order to learn more about the vital work CSI does on Truman State University's campus. Our mission is “to provide students with valuable out of classroom experiences that enhance their academics and provide real world opportunities for them to develop transferrable leadership, personal, and collaborative skills.” Through CSI programs, the staff pays particular attention to students’ ability to gain a sense of communal spirit, social responsibility, and ownership in Truman State University. In the end, our hope is to help develop holistic leaders that will make a significant impact in our global community.
As students embark upon their undergraduate experience, we understand the importance of each student finding a peer group to connect with. As a result, CSI has a tradition of providing many co curricular programs and services that aid the collegiate experience. We are a centralized location for student involvement with over 200 student organizations ranging from
service, student media, political, religious, cultural and many others. Students are never a lack of opportunities to develop friendships with peers with similar interests.
In addition to student organizations, CSI offer numerous
programs, campus wide events
and leadership opportunities that support the University and Student Affairs missions of offering students an exemplary undergraduate experience. Our hope is that students will enjoy the plethora of quality programs and events offered by CSI.
It would a pleasure to speak with you in greater depth regarding the Center for Student Involvement. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact any of the
CSI staff.
Sincerely,
Laura Bates
Director of Student Involvement and Campus Activities
